Tips to run a successful business

Stay Consistent

It’s easy to make changes for a day, maybe a week, but can you stay consistent thru the “rough spots?”

In other words, when the going gets tough, do you cave or do you get tougher? Shut down the negative/weak voice and train your brain into a HABIT of positive thinking and mental toughness.

Be Conscious

You don’t have to be perfect, just be conscious.  At least that’s what I tell myself.

Just moved into a new cottage and we haven’t ordered cable yet, or a couch… but got the

That inner voice…

What was your workout today? I almost convinced myself it was too late, but instead I fit in a 40-minute spin and felt awesome! So glad I didn’t listen to the other voice.

It’s sometimes hard to know if you truly need the rest because that inner voice can be tricky! I get started anyway. In the rare occasion I feel really awful, I’ll stop, but once the music is going and the endorphins are flowin’, I’m almost always good to go and happy I did!

Inspirational Fitness

Are you following @instafemmefitness on Instagram?! Great inspirational fitness account! Check out the very powerful transformation featured just before my feature…a reminder that not everyone needs to lean down and fitness success is about achieving a healthy mindset and lifestyle, not a certain weight or look. Thank you @instafemmefitness for the constant inspiration and the shout out on IG!

Lorna Jane Capris and Insanity T

Lorna Jane capris – a gift from my sister Chalene Johnson!! She also gave me the Insanity T. Don’t be surprised if you see something similar sold at Camp Do More! I think this was one just a test. I love it!

Marathon Relay

Anyone else do a race today?!?! I ran the Glass City Marathon *relay* so just 5 miles not 26, IN THE POURING RAIN, but it was awesome!! Then mom made me this early birthday cake with strawberries, whipped cream and angel food cake. Perfect post-race indulgence!! Kudos to all who did half and full marathons today! 🙂

Make Every Minute Count

Watching the clock as Jen Delvaux and I get in one more set of jumping lunges before the conference starts today! Make every minute COUNT!

Get Back in the Game

How do you stay motivated? I just COMMIT to staying in the game …no matter what happens. Not gonna lie.. I sucked in REALLY hard for this pic this morning! I’ve just come back from traveling AND a birthday week which was showered with goodies and chocolate…and even MORE when I got home to my husband and son. Not complaining…I feel sooo blessed! I worked out all week but definitely ate out and splurged more than usual. To me, it’s not called “cheating” it’s just life. I enjoy myself for *special* occasions, I accept the consequences of feeling bloated and sluggish… and I get back in the game!! Now off to Turbo!

Live Fit

Can you relate? On my last run in Maui this morning, I kept thinking how thankful I am to have chosen fitness as my business. It wasn’t where I started, but it’s where I’m meant to be. It’s always a win-win.

I say this not to give myself a pat on the back but because I know some WANT to have fitness as their career and need to know it’s AWESOME (if you choose the right path).
