Chocolate Shakeology Mug CakeThis was STRAIGHT MONEY. I think it would’ve been even better with a little dark chocolate sauce or something!
Before you read the RECIPE, please read my disclaimer…

1. I know Shakeology nutrients are diminished when microwaved. All foods’ nutrients are diminished when microwaved.

2. I am not advocating daily consumption of mug cakes

3. I am not advocating microwaved foods as a regular part of your diet.

4. I don’t eat perfectly and need some CHOCOLATE or something like this once in awhile.

MUG CAKE RECIPE:
1/2 Cup Oat Flour
1/2 Scoop Chocolate Shakeology
1 Whole Egg or 3 Tbsp Liquid Egg Whites
2 T Nonfat Plain Greek Yogurt
1 oz Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
Sweetener of your choice!

Mix all together and pour in large microwave safe mug. Use a cooking spray, coconut spread or whatever you use for non-stick. Microwave for 60 seconds…then an additional 10 seconds if the center is still just mush. Don’t OVERCOOK

The “frosting/sauce” was “Just Great Stuff” (like PB2 but organic, found on Amazon.com) mixed w/water to make it drizzle. Add dark chocolate chips or whatever your desires!

I still HIGHLY recommend the Oster Blender (bought mine at Target) as an awesome 20oz Travel Blender. A little ice from the hotel, a banana (maybe a Peanut Butter packet too) & your Shakeology ..and you’re good to go for a healthy high-protein meal instead of eating at a restaurant AGAIN. It’s always a life-saver for me when I travel.

Favorite pre workout snackWHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PRE-WORKOUT MEAL or SNACK?

You have to figure out what works best for YOU based on how fast you metabolize food so you know how much to eat for energy but still be able to digest it before you workout, foods that you digest well, foods that are low on the glycemic index (better for fat burning during your workout), foods that give you energy, how much time you have before the workout, what fits YOUR nutritional needs, etc.

This is a toasted Ezekiel English Muffin (freezer section of your grocery store) with “Just Great Stuff” powdered PB (from Amazon.com), with Half banana. I’m all for all-natural PB (i love PB) but given MY personal nutritional needs, adding PB would’ve made this a meal at 400-500 calories when I just wanted a little fuel/snack right now. The honey drizzle was just for the picture, but it was good! You can get GF Ezekiel Muffins too!

This is Orange Roughy & quinoa, spinach salad with tomatoes & avocado. Dressing was a light balsamic vinaigrette And I like salsa & nonfat plain Greek yogurt as a condiment mixed with just about everything!

My hubby made the fish but seemed pretty simple in a skillet.

I had mine as a post-workout meal with ~1c ice, 1c Vanilla unsweetened Almond Milk, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 scoop Vanilla Hydrowhey (by Optimum Nutrition) & 1/2 banana (& blended until creamy of course). You don’t have to add extra protein.

Eat what you needStopped after T’s basketball game to pick up lunch at our favorite deli and Ohhhhh..how I wanted to just order a big fluffy high-carb bagel loaded with cream cheese & high sodium turkey ..and a side of soup-also very high sodium. But it’s not worth it to me. I work too hard.

If it were a special occasion, I would have indulged! But temptations are ALL around us..& if they’re in your HOUSE, that’s even worse! Get rid of it!

Take a deep breath & buy what you like but is a healthier choice.

This is half of a veggie spinach wrap..no cream cheese or cheese, all-natural Light Blue Cheese dressing for dip in the bowl (barely needed any because it’s a strong taste) & a half serving of Peanut Butter Banana Shakeology for added nutrients & protein.

This is a toasted Ezekiel English muffin. And for the egg salad I used 2 hardboiled eggs mashed up into 2T of nonfat plain Greek yogurt & 1T mustard, diced onion, Himalayan salt & pepper.

About 300 calories & over 20g protein.

I’m trying again to give up Quest Bars (the chocolate chip cookie dough… nothing wrong with them, I just don’t think it’s right that I want 2 a day, and dream of having one with every second!

These are an AWESOME alternative, have more nutritional value, & are just as convenient as a bar when you need something QUICK or just a healthy sweet Chocolate Peanut Butter treat for you & the family.

RECIPE:
1 cup Dry Quick Oats
1 cup “Just Great Stuff” (Amazon)
1/2 cup Natural PB
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 serving Chocolate Shakeology (reg or vegan)
6 packets all-natural Stevia

Remove jewelry, mix all into large bowl, form into golf ball size bites,
Place in ️freezer& keep there. Ready to eat within seconds of removing it from the freezer.

They’re NOT impressive warm & mushy.

p.s. I choose Just Great Stuff over PB2 because it’s organic & has cleaner ingredients but the same taste.

1 cup Frozen Mango Chunks
1/4 cup Frozen Blueberries
1 cup Vanilla Unsweetened Almond Milk
1/2 cup water so it’s not too crazy thick
1 serving Vanilla Shakeology
1/2 scoop Vanilla HydroWhey (optional, I just like extra protein after a lift PLUS it makes it extra yummy!)

Blend. No ice needed due to the frozen mango chunks
