Early Morning Workout

I was up EARLY this morning to fit my workout in before the sun was up and before the family was up.  As much as I’m NOT a morning person, I try not to let my workouts affect family time, so I just do it.

I didn’t use to, but I do now and I recommend it if you can! I love leg day!

The Key is to Start

The Key is to StartDid you workout and eat well today?? Are weekends tougher for you?

I just finished a monster workout and could just COLLAPSE from exhaustion, yet I feel on top of the world at the same time.

Some of your best thoughts, ideas and motivation will come to you during a workout and afterwards; you feel less stressed and more focused on your goals.

The key is to start.

Chest & Abs

This is one of my favorite core workouts–a chest fly with dumbbells as you lower your legs.

As always, warm up first and modify to suit your level and strength.

I’m using 17.5lb Select Techs‬ here alternate with decline push ups and Spider-Man pushups!

If you’re gonna do pushups, why not work your abs too, right?! 🙂

Focus

You can’t do it all.. So focus [DAILY] on what gets you closer to the lifestyle you want.

Don’t Obsess

Are you obsessing about your body or flaws?

That thinking can slow your progress because you will fail to see the big picture of fitness and easily feel defeated.

Instead, educate yourself, expect it to take time, be consistent, do it for ‪‎strength‬ and developing self ‪discipline‬.  But don’t ever give up on the journey to FIT and strong.

You won’t always be in the mood or have adequate time to workout. That’s a given. ‪‎Do it anyway. ‬ And this applies to eating right as well–it’s not always convenient, fun or easy.

Just Did It

What’s your ‪workout‬ today?!

We got a 5-mile run in this morning. I wasn’t looking forward to running-I was sore from yesterday’s water skiing‬, running hills and doing ‪Bodybeast‬ with my mom. I especially didn’t want to run at Matt’s pace, which is basically my race-pace.

But I loosened up as I went and I’m SO glad I didn’t over-think it and ‪Just Did It‬! Time to stretch!
