Are you eating too MUCH …or too little??

TunaBoth can sabotage results! Believe me I know! At one time years ago, I wasn’t eating enough ..was practically starving myself. Now I estimate calories to ensure I’m getting ENOUGH to fuel my workouts, my muscles, my metabolism, my energy (& honestly, I usually go over the amt of food my body actually needs ..bcuz I LOVE food & i’m not afraid to overeat a little if it’s at least healthy). But don’t just take note of what *I eat, EVERYONE’s needs for total calories and carbs, proteins & fats are unique! And GOALS are unique!

For lunch I had this plus 2 hrs later I had a chocolate chunk quest bar..totaling roughly 600 calories & packed with good carbs, protein & healthy fats (there’s 1/4 avocado on that tuna sandwich made w/an Ezekiel English muffin). I didn’t get in my veggies, but I’ll easily get in 6 servings by tonight with my Shakeology & salad later (Shakeology has 3-4 servings of fruits & vegetable superfoods).

If you’re DIALING INTO your nutrition HARD because you want great results FASTER, I’d recommend counting macros or using the Portion Fix meal plan (container system making counting macros easier) which comes with programs like 21DF or Hammer & Chisel

I think you can clearly see what’s on this, except that white bean hummus (sorry, no recipe-store bought) & the protein is ‪#‎wildplanet‬ light tuna. Quick & delish!🎯

My usualDiscipline is about doing (and consuming) what you don’t necessarily want now to get what you DO want later (energy, muscle, fuel, ..RESULTS) Right? Who’s willing to overcome temptations now to feel AMAZING later!?!

Yes, sometimes it’s a to! But this was quinoa, white bean hummus, avocado, wild albacore tuna, & SALSA!!

Matt & T ate quinoa, steak & broccoli.
Yes, we sometimes are eating slightly different meals. What’s important in my book is that we all find ways to eat healthy foods we like!

New Chocolate fix replacement for me!

‎Superseedz‬Enjoying the sun pool-side with one of my fav snacks Superseedz‬!! They’re dry roasted pumpkin seeds in “Cocoa Joe” flavor 🍫They’re tree-nut free, PeanutFree‬, ‎vegan‬, nongmo‬, glutenfree‬, 7g protein, 4g net carbs. I measure out 1 serving though because I could definitely finish a whole bag. They have 3g of sugar, but if they’re replacing a chocolate-fix, they’re a better option. We order them from Amazon but many grocery stores sell them now. Some Starbucks sell the single-serve packs

Avoid Mindless Snacking

1. Don’t buy it! You don’t need to have such great discipline to not eat/drink something.. you need the discipline to stop buying it. You say your kids want it, but do they really need it???
If yes, put it out of site

2. Distract. A lot of our cravings are VERY temporary & will go away in minutes, so go do something relaxing  and get yourself out of the environment that’s triggering you.

3. Drink water. You may just be thirsty! This one is MY downfall

When I first started Shakeology several years ago, I had it for dinner w/ a small salad. My evening eating was out of control at the time! I’d be done with work for the day & try to eat a healthy dinner but my cravings & stress-release-eating would take over. Shakeo helped me put an end to that bad habit.

But even now, I still occasionally have Shakeology for dinner when I’m in a time crunch & off to one of my son’s games or if I’ve been off track with eating all day. Saying “screw it” at night & ordering the pizza or finishing off a box of cereal usually leads to regret (I only know from experience). You feel less in need of splurges when you get the right nutrients in your body

Any Friday that doesn’t include a whole pizza downed & a bad stomach ache & wondering why the hell I did that (again) is a win & deserves to be documented.

Sure I’ll still have Pizza on occasion but the Ultimate Reset I finished 2 weeks ago really helped me get back to the 90% clean eating I’m used to. (And yes, I worked out during the cleanse. And no, it’s not recommended but I upped my calories to accommodate it).

Between the Shakeology & salad here, there’s 4 servings of veg’s, 2 servings of fruit, & over 30g protein.

Are you PB-obsessed or PB-allergic??This was an amazing snack I had this afternoon! I found these Wasa wafers (25 calories each) which are a perfect compliment to peanut butter!! I sprinkled some toasted coconut pieces on top

If you ARE PB-obsessed, measure it out. This was 2 tablespoons but I could’ve EASILY had 4 tablespoons with NO PROBLEM & in DENIAL that it was that much but I know that’s more than my 5’5″ body needs for a snack.
