I added flaxseeds to my smoothie…

Today I added flaxseeds (1 tbsp) to my smoothie & I couldn’t even detect it!! 👏🏼👏🏼

I never did that before because I thought I’d feel what seemed like tiny ants in my smoothie🐜 🤢…yah, I have a weird thing about certain textures.

Just like there shouldn’t be any raisins in my cookies …or nuts in a cake🚫 …and carrots in a cake?! Oh hail no! 🤣

And mushrooms & shrimp😷.. don’t even get me started.

Nutrient Packed Chocolate Greens

Love the Nike Epic React so much that I bought another pair👟. They’re running shoes tho🏃‍♀️! I was too sore to film a HIIT workout for you today, sorry! I needed LISS not HIIT.

And yes, I still drink shakeO daily! I get asked all the time. I never want my followers to think I’m trying to sell, but I also need to share what I do & what helps me☝🏼😉

This is just truth.

There are at LEAST 7-10 times in my week where I need to eat but I just don’t have the energy at that moment, or maybe the time, or maybe the groceries (like on a Saturday when we haven’t grocery shopped yet) & if it weren’t for these nutrient packed chocolate greens, I’d probably go off track, say “screw it” & grab whatever is quick & comforting!

But having this handy over the past several years has made it easier to keep my mindset, my weight & my health in check long term. I thought it was too expensive before I did my research….

I just thought it was a fancy protein drink☺!

Now I understand it & know the benefits I see ..and feel. And it tastes like a dessert to me #addedbonus 🙌🏼 Now I know we as a family can’t afford NOT to drink it daily #DoubleNegativeNecessary

Chocolate Almond Butter Bites

If I’m going to eat later in the evening, I *try* to make sure it has high nutritional value & is low glycemic/low sugar. This recipe is so simple & these are AMAZING.

🍫1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
🍫2 Tbsp Almond Milk
🍫2 Tbsp Almond Butter (or PB)
🍫1 Scoop Chocolate Vegan Superfood 🍃
Mix, ball & freeze. Makes 6.

Superfood Cookies

Well.. does this look like a chocolate mess or amazingness???

Pretty soon you’re gonna think my Quest Bar addiction has turned into a new addiction to these ..& maybe it has But these are a much more nutrient-packed option. Here’s the recipe for these Superfood cookies.

Makes ~12 cookies

2 scoops vanilla or Choc vegan Superfood
2 Tbsp Coconut Oil (not liquid form)
4 Tbsp Almond or Peanut Butter
4 Tbsp Almond or Coconut Milk
Mix all, ball up & flatten into cookie
Freeze for at least 15 min before eating
Chocolate drizzle optional

Who struggles with cravings?

Who struggles with cravings?! In the afternoon? After work? At night? When you’re bored? When you’re feeling anxiety? When you’re tired?!

One way I’ve learned to manage that is through fulfilling the nutritional gaps causing those cravings and also tricking my mind to think I really AM having a splurge! My son & husband agreed this LEGIT tasted like a McDonald’s Shamrock Shake!

When I feel restricted & bored with clean eating and salads, even if I am getting the nutrients I need, I’m tempted to splurge simply because I “feel” restricted from fun foods. I had to restrict a LOT as a teen & thankfully those days (& those feelings) are over!

Know when a real splurge is worth it but also find delicious clean cheats that can be had daily because they’re actually HEALTHY !

Baked Apple Treat

So this is a REALLY good idea for a warm, no-sugar-added treat! Can you believe I’ve NEVER baked an apple before??!

I decided to chop & bake this apple with a little melted coconut oil on top & cinnamon at 350 for 20’ish minutes in a glass baking dish. No sugar added & it was DELISHHH. I knowwwww.. some of you are probably rolling your eyes as if I think I just invented something new but I have a lot of kitchen-challenged followers who might appreciate this for themselves or their kids

Chocolate Greek Yogurt

Yessss??? or Nooooope

This is chocolate Greek yogurt I made with chocolate protein powder & Fage Greek yogurt that I sweetened with Stevia. I just took about 1/4 scoop chocolate protein, added water to it until it was the consistency of chocolate syrup. Then I mixed it into my Greek yogurt & added 2 organic Stevia packets. It’s good as a treat just like that! I only did the drizzle & chocolate chips for show exclusively for you.. (as if I didn’t eat the chips).

I don’t track macros but if you DO & struggle to get in protein, this is 23g protein.

Post-workout chocolate peanut butter banana pudding!

You can make this with your chocolate BCAAs Protein (just use half the almond milk) or your chocolate superfoods.

Just 1 scoop protein or superfoods, 1/2 Cup Almond/coconut Milk (1/4 Cup if it’s protein powder), 1 teaspoon almond butter or PB, 1/2 banana

Blend well.
(That recipe makes 1 serving)

Pre-chopped salad

Just threw this together using one of those pre-chopped salads from Kroger ..it has kale, cabbage, & other greens, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds & I added 1/4 apple, 1/4 avocado & pine nuts. I topped it with avocado ranch dressing made by Tessemaes ! It was DELISH!

Then I frantically searched for some chocolate as a lil dessert and found NONE

It really DOES help if you can’t access your trigger foods/drinks ..cravings do pass
