post_shopping_snackPost Christmas Shopping snack! Yes, I procrastinate & the mall is NUTS! Do you know how much I just wanted to relieve that stress w/a Skinny Mocha& a protein bar🍫?! ..(my old self’s favorite combo!😁)

But trying to be better & hoping you are too (whatever “better” looks like for you!

This was a 150-calorie, 18g protein snack! Plain Greek yogurt with Sweet Leaf Vanilla Creme Stevia Drop (full drop & some more to taste!)👌 With raspberries (Obviously🙄) & some granola for decoration👌

Brown Rice Wrap

Brown Rice WrapThis is an Applegate Farms Turkey burger with grape tomatoes, avocado, olives, spring mix & non-fat plain Greek yogurt (bcuz it tastes like sour cream but is HIGH protein for a condiment), all on a FoodForLife brown rice wrap.

These wraps are kinda chewy. If you’re used to white flour wraps, these will take some getting used to..

Most “clean” foods will grow on you in time if you give up the high sugar/carbs/sodium foods (& forget what they taste like).

And yes, these kinda fall apart when you load them up like this..

A small price to pay to see RESULTS👍 🙌 😁.

This was SO good & filling.. OMG.

It was a wrap with Organic Valley part-skim shredded Mozzarella, tomatoes, turkey jerky sticks sliced up & pretending to be pepperoni 👌, 1/8 avocado, low sodium turkey lunch meat, & a dollop of hummus.

I put it in the oven at 400 for 10 minutes BEFORE adding avocado & hummus.

Less than 400 calories, low carb & sugar, healthy fat, & high protein!🎯

I’m a strong believer that each person needs to find what works best for THEM but I get asked a lot how I fit in 100-125g protein per day (I’m only about 5’5″ & weigh probably about 125-128lbs.. I rarely ever weigh myself btw). I follow the recommended guideline for building muscle of .8g-1g of protein per pound of your ideal body weight (in other words, if you are 100 pounds overweight, don’t consume an additional 100g protein per day).

I don’t think these need a description but if you wonder how/why/when I eat them, I’m putting together “A TYPICAL DAY” document of my meals which you can download📥.

Turkey Lettuce Wraps

Lettuce WrapTurkey lettuce wraps w/nonfat plain Greek yogurt pretending to be sour cream (HIGH PROTEIN & doing a delicious job as a substitute)👌😋

The turkey is seasoned with some kind of taco seasoning my hubby picked up at ‪WholeFoods (not sure which kind), then he diced Green Pepper, Red Onions, Baby Bell Peppers and placed on Romaine.

Our pre-teen son even liked them but he wanted his turkey meat without the cut-up onions & peppers😏 (baby steps.. Just discussed this topic on my last 🍐-iscope 😉)

So this was one of my quick, small meals earlier today .. Ezekiel wrap (found in your grocery store freezer section), low sodium tuna (made with red onion, nonfat plain Greek yogurt), slivered almonds, greens & grape tomatoes !🍅

Grilled Chicken Nachos

We bought these sprouted quinoa & sprouted chia, Sweet Potato Chips at ‪#‎WholeFoods‬ (made by “Simply Sprouted Way Better Snacks”) and made Grilled Chicken Nachos with them!!

1 serving of chips, Grilled Chicken, Horizon organic cheddar cheese, tomatoes, 1/4 avocado and a dollop of non-fat plain Greek Yogurt pretending to be sour cream
