Is someone holding you back?

…or is it actually YOU holding you back? (In fitness, business, or your professional career..)

Fitness is not Optional

Fitness is a part of my life and I don’t wake up asking myself if I feel like it, or if I’m up to it that day, or if I have time for it. You have to acquire the mindset that it’s like taking care of your teeth or your hair or your house. Except your body’s health impacts your whole life and even your brain function. If I absolutely cannot fit it in, or it absolutely needs to be a rest day, I don’t beat myself up. But it IS a part of my daily routine, not an optional thing. And no, I don’t work out hours a day.It could be anywhere from 20minutes to an hour and 20 minutes. I do what I can 🙂

You’re Not The Only One

  • …tempted to splurge at night;
  • …wondering why you seem heavier even though you’ve been on track;
  • …wanting to stop the workout when it JUST began;
  • …working out with an injury;
  • …working harder than someone else but not seeing similar results;
  • …struggling to balance family, work, life, AND be fit;
  • …having feelings of self-doubt;

Even the fittest people I know, struggle with all these things too. They have ups and downs too. They just choose to learn from their mistakes, appreciate what they DO have and CAN DO, and they continually pick themselves up to move forward stronger and smarter than before. You are not the only one trying to move yourself forward, but you ARE the only one who can move YOU forward.

Public Speaking

Is it just me or is public speaking soo scary?! Especially in front of peers! I’m in my hotel room prepping for my presentation today. Yikes! Public speaking is NOT my thing but I have to convince myself it IS before I walk on that stage. I want to teach more fitness enthusiasts that you CAN make an awesome and rewarding living in fitness!

Handstand Inspiration

Please do not duplicate my form if you try this as I’m 99.99% sure my form is not right!  But I was challenged to try this by a post on Instagram and it was fun! And I’m inspired to improve on it. I think my sis was right on the other day when she said social media is a fabulous resource for inspiration, learning, and motivation! Don’t you think?

Be thankful

Are you inspired by fit pics.. Or discouraged? It’s AMAZING how your attitude & outlook change once you stop focusing on what you don’t have and can’t YET do and instead be thankful for what you DO have, how far you’ve come and how far you can GO!

I have been working on my fitness since I was 14! You’d think by now I might be discouraged by the fact that I don’t have abs like @bellafalconi_fitness and that i’m not even in the same ab-stratosphere! What’s taking so long?!?! LOL:) I’m inspired by her and others, but I’m just trying to be the best me.

Many have gotten WAY leaner and stronger than me in a MUCH shorter period of time. I’m inspired by those people DAILY and yet I’m proud to have stayed motivated and consistent for so long.. that’s MY success story 😉

Because of beachbody, I’m stronger, faster and fitter than I’ve ever been in my life- so that’s cool with me, and my goals are to just keep improving! Decide what’s MOST important to YOU and be your own biggest cheerleader. And pay it forward 🙂

Travel Clothes

What do you fly in? I’ve got my comfy workout clothes on…ready for a long 24-hour travel back home.

Keep Inspiring Others!

Are some not on board with what you’re doing? It’s ok, your haters and non-supporters will just fuel your fire. They don’t necessarily see potential in themselves to do extraordinary things, therefore they don’t see it in others either. That’s not your problem. Pray for them and keep inspiring; it may click for them someday 🙂

Priorities

I know some of my goals and opportunities will at times tempt me to be pulled in many different and exciting directions, but I’ll turn them down and walk away in a heartbeat if it compromises my priority as a mom and wife.
