Leg Day workout

You game for this🏻???

Matt & I did these as supersets so there were no breaks in between. We ended up doing 3 sets of everything (8-16 reps depending on weight & exercise) and it took us about an hour:

Cable leg lifts
• Hip thrusts on bench
• Weighted Bulgarian Split Lunges
• Hamstring curls w/ball
• Weighted Step ups
• Romanian Deadlifts
• Weighted Squats (not shown)
• Speed Skaters (not shown)
• Weighted Sumo Squats (not shown)
• Weighted Hamstring Curl (not shown)
• Weighted Leg Extensions (not shown)
• Crawling out of homegym (not shown)

I usually do this once a week + about HALF of it once a week, but have been out of my leg day routine lately!
Feels GOOD to be back at it!🙌🏼

Early Saturday Workout

What’s your workout today ???

CRAZY BUSY SATURDAY over here but Matt & I woke up early to fit in back & Tricep supersets for 25 min followed by this quick HIIT! We finished lift + cardio + 5-min stretch in less than 45 min🙌🏼

Early_Saturday_workout1-minute each for 3 Rounds!

1. Mountain Climbers
2. Bench Jump Overs
3. Hang Cleans (I used 55Lbs)
4. Burpees
5. Abs -reverse curls on bench

Honestly, I’ve had a couple brief moments where I wanted to quit.

My purpose in doing the The Ultimate Reset cleanse is to experience it for the sake of others ..especially those who may need it more than me, improve on my own clean eating habits even more, cleanse of any toxin build up I may have unknowingly, rid myself of mindless snacking, improve my water intake, learn how to make more meals that are TOTALLY veggie-filled & clean, drop unnecessary water weight & to do this with my husband (who needs it less than I do but wanted to do it)

I also Took my last “detox” supplement tonight, which isn’t that bad tasting in my opinion. I honestly didn’t think I’d make it this far given I don’t like to cook or follow a meal plan but it’s been really easy to tweak it to suit our needs and likes

Its basically how I already eat just minus  ‪‎quest bars‬, feta,‬ ‪‎turkey burgers‬‪, ‎and ezekiel bread. All those things are replaced with more fruits & veggies! We’ve kept in plain Greek Yogurt sweetened with stevia, low acidity coffee, & eggs even though those were supposed to be excluded in week 2.

So we’re getting more protein & calories than most would consume but we aren’t looking to lose weight with this (but don’t get me wrong, I won’t be mad if I suddenly see a 6-pack). And we still workout, just lighter/less intense.

Stay Safe

stay safeWent for a run outside this morning (normally I run on the treadmill so I can do interval sprints at certain paces) & I had some weirdo slowing down in his car riding next to me.

 
It didn’t last long but long enough to freak me out. This is the 3rd time it’s happened in the last year & here I am.. an older woman running in a nice neighborhood.

 
What it made me realize is so many women I talk to are afraid to get on social media due to “creepers” seeing them or their kids.. I totally get that feeling BUT in reality, the creepers you need to fear most are the ones who live near us.. In nice neighborhoods, in nice cars, working professional careers, sometimes even working with our kids in schools & sports.

 
If your daughter runs, please run with her or have her run with someone. I personally think this can apply to boys too, although some could probably easily out-run a creeper. When our son runs, he runs with one of us, or on the treadmill, or just does a series of sprints within site.
Maybe I’m an ‪over protective mom‬.

Although I’m a total introvert & homebody, I love training my team! I get so fired up to see them succeed in this fitness business. Myself and my team have proven you don’t need to fit ANY mold.

Hard Corps Style

Here’s a great no-equipment-needed workout. You can get these types of workouts & an awesome meal plan with 22min Hard Corps.

Hard_corps_style🎯IF YOU DO THIS ONE🎯
•warmup your upper & lower body first
•It’s 21 reps of each, then 15 reps of each, etc
•for the lunges, right + left = 1 rep
•the burpees are crossfit‬ style
•the run is 400m
•I used 20lb weights for the thrusters, lunges & sumo squat jumps
•it takes about 16-20 minutes
•follow with core work & stretching

Tricep Push-up Progression

If you can’t do Tricep push-ups on your feet, start with hand-release Tricep push-ups on your knees by just lowering yourself to laying on the ground completely, releasing your hands & then powering yourself back up. Eventually progress to straight Tricep push-ups on the knees, and then start doing them on your feet. Even though you’ll just start with 1, before you know it, you’ll be doing an entire set on your feet💪

Ab Work- Love or hate?

I’m SO sore today from a leg day Thursday followed by yesterday’s 16.5 (see last post), so today was just abs + fasted LISS (low intensity steady-state cardio). I rode my spin bike with low resistance & fasted means I did it first thing in the a.m. with no food prior, just Energize‬). I only do fasted cardio if I’m NOT doing an intense workout and/or NOT lifting – I personally need fuel for that. So I really rarely do fasted cardio.
